Cala Brandinchi

Cala Brandinchi is located a little to the north of San Teodoro, between Puntaldia and Capo Coda Cavallo; it can be reached by driving north along State Road 125 from San Teodoro, in the direction of Olbia. Access is after the hamlet of Lu Fraili, taking the turning for Capo Coda Cavallo.

You will be enraptured, the first time, by the sheen of the sand and the intense turquoise colour of the sea. You will feel like you are in Polynesia, in fact, and not by chance, it is called 'little Tahiti'. The seabed is shallow for tens of metres, as if it were a swimming pool, and is ideal for swimming and children's games. The transparent water is ideal for snorkelling enthusiasts.

Framing the beach are sandy dunes carpeted with junipers, rushes, sea lilies and aromatic plants, and behind them more greenery: well-kept gardens and a pine forest with a large car park, which is also suitable for motorhomes. From the car park you have access not only to the Brandinchi cove, but also to its 'twin' Lu Impostu, which is just as wonderful, less long than the Brandinchi, but much wider. The two beaches are separated by the small promontory of Capo Capicciolu and connected by a path through the Mediterranean maquis. 

Behind the beaches and pine forest is the Brandinchi pond, home to herons, black-winged stilts and pink flamingos, making it an ideal place for birdwatchers.

The cove is equipped with all services, including refreshment facilities: beach equipment hire, bars and areas for sports activities on the beach, hotels within a short distance, campsites and restaurants. There is also a jetty for mooring small pleasure boats.

Cala Brandinchi and all the other coastal beauties of San Teodoro are part of the Capo Coda Cavallo Marine Protected Area, which extends from Capo Ceraso for 15,000 hectares.
