La Pelosa

Stintino has magnificent beaches such as that of Pelosa, at the foot of Roccauja, considered among the most beautiful in Sardinia and among those in Europe. The white sandy shore is preserved from mistral winds and currents by the natural barrier of the stacks of Capo Falcone, Piana Island and Asinara. This beach is characterized by shallow waters, and the water has crystal-clear transparency and colors ranging from turquoise to emerald.

In order to curb the phenomenon of shoreline erosion and protect the environment, from the summer of 2020, the Municipality of Stintino will allow closed-access beach access from June 1 to September 30, through an online reservation and payment of a ticket, accessing a dedicated App, and allowing a maximum number of daily accesses to 1,500 people.

La Pelosa beach is located north of Stintino and is easily accessible from Sassari via the E25 and from Alghero via the Due Mari road (SP42). Near Porto Torres turn to SP57, after a few kilometers at the traffic circle take the first exit (SP34) that will take you to Pozzo San Nicola and take the first to the right, to reach Stintino.

In a short time you will reach the beach; parking is paid and with the possibility of restricting car access.
