Cala Fuili

It lies north of Arbatax along the Costa Orientale Sarda and south of the Gulf of Orosei. It is the last cove that can be reached by car or bicycle from Cala Gonone, the road ends where the downhill walk to the beach begins.

You will be amazed once you descend the steps, a panorama will open up before you that will take your breath away: the contrast between the green of the vegetation and the blue of the sea gives this cove a fairy-tale setting. The beach, consisting of white sand mixed with pebbles with outcropping rocks, is surrounded by rock walls that attract many climbing enthusiasts every year. Cala Fuili can also be reached on foot, via an intriguing internal path known as codula Fuili, which is why it is also frequented by trekking enthusiasts, but not only by canyoning, snorkelling and diving enthusiasts.

The beach of Cala Fuili is located not far from the Bue Marino Caves and can be easily reached by boat from the port of Arbatax and Cala Gonone in about an hour and a half and a little over half an hour, respectively. By car, you get there via the Strada Statale125 in the direction of Baunei for 2 km. Turn left onto Provincial Road 26 towards Cala Gonone, which you will reach after 7.3 km. From the town centre, follow the coast road to the right and after about 1.7 km, on the left, you will find the beach of Ziu Martine and thenafter 1.3 km, that of Cala Fuili.

In the immediate hinterland you will find the Nuraghe Mannu, open for guided tours from May to October.
