Beach of Marina di Castelsardo

In the north of Sardinia, in the centre of the Gulf of Asinara, lies one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Castelsardo. This beach is located right at the beginning of the built-up area of the 'new' Castelsardo and can be accessed via a flight of steps along the Lungomare Anglona, where one can enjoy wonderful walks.

It is located in a sheltered position between imposing cliffs and the pier of the Frigiano harbour, where the salt market took place in pre-Sabaudian times. Behind the beach you can admire the trachyte cliff on which the castle dominates.

The beach is not long but deep, definitely enjoyable; the medium-grained sand is compact, the seabed is shallow and sandy, therefore suitable for children's play. The beach at Marina di Castelsardo is an ideal destination for diving and snorkelling enthusiasts. Although its size is small, being within the town, you will find parking and refreshment facilities. Around it, you will find various accommodation facilities, restaurants, bars, shops and all amenities.
