La Pelosa Beach

Stintino has magnificent beaches such as that of Pelosa, at the foot of Roccauja, considered among the most beautiful in Sardinia and among those in Europe. The white sandy shore is preserved from mistral winds and currents by the natural barrier of the stacks of Capo Falcone, Piana Island and Asinara. This beach is characterized by shallow waters, and the water has crystal-clear transparency and colors ranging from turquoise to emerald.

La Pelosa beach is situated north of Stintino and is easily accessible from Sassari through the E25 and from Alghero via the Due Mari road (SP42). Near Porto Torres turn onto the SP57, after a few kilometres at the roundabout take the first exit (SP34) which will take you to Pozzo San Nicola and take the first on the right to reach Stintino.

In a short time you will reach the beach; parking is paid and with the possibility of restricting car access.

Restricted access and booking required.

To protect the dune ecosystem and the delicate environmental balance, access to the beach is restricted: a maximum of 1,500 people per day between June and October. To access it, online booking is compulsory, to be made through the official website spiaggialapelosa.it or dedicated App (“La Pelosa” - Android and “spiaggia la Pelosa” - iPhone).

To access the beach, you must use a mat to place under your towels. In addition, it is compulsory to wash your feet at the special showers before leaving the beach at La Pelosa.

At the entrance, a nominal QR code is scanned, valid only for the 8 a.m.-6 p.m. time slot of the selected day.

Costs and limits.

• Tariff (to be verified annually): € 3.50 per person;

• Free: children up to 12 years old;

• Limits: max. 4 persons per booking; one booking per day per user.
